Ben practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, asset protection, taxation and related areas. He understands that each individual and family differ in their desires and needs, and structures estate plans to meet those unique needs.


Ben was born and raised in Dallas. Initially, he attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After working as a professional chef for eight years, Ben returned to Austin to complete a masters degree in economics at the University of Texas. He then attended Southern Methodist University to attain a joint degree in law (J.D.) and economics (M.A.). Ben was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1996 and has worked in the area of estate planning and probate since 1997. Ben is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section of the Texas State Bar and the Probate, Trust and Estates Section of the Dallas Bar Association.


Ben and his wife Alison have two wonderful children, Sydney who is studying at the University of Missouri at Columbia and Nicholas who is a freshman in high school. Ben continues to sharpen his culinary skills at home.
